About Me
I’ve been doing this work my entire adult life as a hobby while I worked in IT. Since moving away from screens, for the past 2 years in Charleston I’ve been working in the handyman and construction spaces trying to find my niche, what truly inspires me. What I’m good at doing. What I enjoy doing. Now I’ve found it. I want to help make your new space a home. I want it to feel warm. I want the energy to be positive and calm. I want to use my skills to help create your dream space, something that’s unique and comfortable to you!
It all begins with your vision for a comfortable home…
You've picked the perfect place to start a family. Maybe you’re retiring. Maybe you’ve found a new place to rent. Maybe you have a new investment property that needs personal touches. Renovators or movers have just finished their jobs. The walls are bare, you can hear echos everywhere, and things just feel cold and impersonal. You’re left to unpack and it feels like there’s a million little things to do and not enough time. It’s stressful! How many times have you been here?
When you come home at the end of the day it’s to relax, unwind, and enjoy what you’ve worked so hard to build for yourself. That’s where I come in. I truly enjoy helping people finish up the process of renovating or moving. By this I mean installing window treatments, hanging pictures, photos, and shelves on walls, hanging TV’s and hiding ugly cables, patching up holes and fixing small things that are moderately irritating, light and fan upgrades, and generally just improving the energy and feel of your new space so that it feels more like a home. All those personal touches to warm up your space and make things comfortable, including important fixes like this one.
Designers? I help them too. It’s the big push, owners are expecting to move in soon, and you have no time to organize and schedule trades people to finish up on small tasks that require multiple skills, multiple callout charges before work even starts. For example, you have a fan to upgrade, 2 sconces to wire/hang, shades to hang, a shelf to install, a doorstop to install, and TV wires hidden. I can usually do all those things in one trip, saving you the time to organize it all and then saving you the money you’d otherwise pay for multiple callout charges. I don’t stress about things that take time to get right. I rather enjoy the process because I know you’ll get the look you want. This new light fixture turned out perfect!
Renters? If you’re leaving a rental property, I’ll make sure your landlord won’t find anything wrong with the condition of your old house/apartment. Movers won’t touch TV’s. That’s fine, I’ll take care of your TV’s. Need some holes patched and painted so you’ll never know they were there? Not a problem! And you’re new place, I’ll help you make it comfortable and warm, unique to you (like this Vogue gallery wall).
